When my dad first died, I thought I’d be one of a few who lost their parent so young. Unfortunately, I was wrong then, and I’m even more wrong now. Death is just part of life but you don’t ever really want to face it. It’s hard to talk about. It’s hard to write about. It’s the hardest to feel. A lot of the time we want to feel it alone but sometimes we don’t. And that’s ok. I want you to be able to turn to this community and other amazing organizations like @ourhousegrief and @optionb if you need sources of strength and healing. They exist to listen when you don’t know where to go with all the pain. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This quote is exactly how I feel about grief.
