Togakushi Okusha Shrine’s Rows of Cedars
(Nagano City)

A two-kilometer-long trail runs from the road to the Togakushi Okusha Shrine. The mid-point is marked by the red Zuishinmon gate, and beyond it are Togakushi’s famous rows of cedars.

These 400-year-old giants tower above the trail, worthy of their designation as natural monuments.

When covered in a deep layer of snow, the trees give off a mysterious and tranquil air.

* The trail can be difficult to walk during winter due to accumulated snow and ice. Please be careful when visiting.

In addition, the Okusha Shrine is closed during winter. For omamori and omikuji purchases or goshuuin, please visit the Chusha shrine.

戸隠神社奥社の杉並木🌲

樹齢400年を超える巨木は
天然記念物にも指定されています🍃

深い雪に覆われた冬季の杉並木は
静寂と神秘的な空気が漂っています❄️

冬季は積雪や凍結により足元が悪くなります。ご注意ください。
また、奥社は冬期閉殿となっています。参拝はできますが、お守りやおみくじ、御朱印は中社で受け付けています。
