Why I don’t celebrate Australia Day

Last week’s theme may not reverberate for all, but is a message I feel the need to share as an individual with ties to Australia

I don’t have all the answers, and may never find a definitive answer in my lifetime. If only there were a way to live a life in utmost harmony without causing another soul to suffer

Ignorance may be bliss until that bubbles pops. Through education and awareness we are forced to pry our eyes open to the often hurtful truths. We shouldn’t have to live a life of suffering, but if it is at the expense of inflicting suffering on others, we surely cannot turn a blind eye to our fellow humankind. Tradition, culture make us unique yet also causes divide. I do not pretend to have the answers, but will strive to live a life where I cause as many entities a life devoid of suffering
