It's a cast of characters who are all unique in their own right, but Ricky Powell was his own special breed. ⁠ ⁠ If you've ever walked around the Village, there is no doubt you've spotted him strolling aimlessly with his transistor radio in hand spreading love to everyone he passed by. 📻 🎶 He loved the neighborhood and the neighborhood loved him back. Few people have ever exemplified "New York" the way he did. Not a week went by over the past 30+ years where Ricky didn't walk into Bigelow's showing love to our staff. One of his most common phrases was, "Appreciate you!" and you always knew that he meant it. ⁠ ⁠ We are deeply saddened to hear the news of his passing. 💔 His infectious and endearing spirit will be missed forever.
