However, since my daughter got diagnosed with AML leukaemia, it is something close to my heart and I have been working hard to raise as much awareness as possible since! . Many parents are unaware that they can donate their umbilical cord after giving birth. Also, many hospitals do not offer the service to do so. Being a parent of a baby girl that has been given a second chance at life because of an umbilical cord, I find this sad and I want to do everything within my power to raise awareness to as many parents as I can and help provide the services for all hospitals to cater for this! .
