We can’t describe how happy we are to report that Crusoe’s liver enzymes have dropped down dramatically are almost in the normal range!!! This was an even better result than we could have thought! I think it shows that clearing his bile duct of the residual debris/sand was affecting him the most, even though he still does have a degree of pancreatitis and IBD that we will still try to settle out with a hypoallergenic diet. We want to be slightly cautious, as we’ve been burned in the past where we had a good test only to be followed by a bad test. But having now cleaned out his duct, and with the best test numbers he’s had since his original surgery in June, we’re feeling optimistic for the first time in a long time. So much so that we are going to be launching the Crusoe Fund at @cornellvet in the next week or so as a thank you and to raise money for their research and care to help more animals like Crusoe in the future.
