Today is my mom’s birthday. It’s a little bittersweet, there is sort of a dull ache. Often she would come out to visit us in California around her birthday as the NYC weather got down to “oh fuck this” degrees. She loved LA in the “winter.” Anyway, I miss her. Call your parents if you can.
