Found on the side of the road, Wally was quickly reintroduced into a safer area. He was also given an ear tag from the Blue Mountains Koala Project that allows him to be tracked. Since then, Wally has traveled a massive 40kms (25 miles) back to his home in Blue Mountain forest. This is quite the journey for a koala- marsupials known for snoozing in treetops.
