When asked, “what do you do for wellness?” I sometimes feel stumped on how to answer. So many things can go in that category, right? For me, wellness is everything I do to nurture my body and my brain. Whatever helps me to put my feet on the ground in the morning and say, “Today is going to be a good day!” Right now, wellness is meditating, putting more effort and mindfulness into what I eat, yoga and pilates, coloring with Pentel markers, therapy, digging into self-discovery by having conversations with mentors, putting my phone away, setting boundaries with work hours, cutting myself some slack and then allowing myself to veggggggg on the couch for like, a while, without any guilt. Because why relax if you are going to punish yourself for it?  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I've even been starting to play Kids Meditations for Sonny on the @calm app. They're good to listen to in the car because he really sits and focuses. The goal is to instill mindfulness in him at a young age. When he gets worked up, we try to remind him about his breath, which I am sure can be SO annoying to him, but one day I hope he will be able to use his breath naturally to calm himself down from anything.  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What little things do you do each day to take care of yourself?
