It’s been a challenging few weeks processing her passing but I’m comforted by the thought that she’s with grandpa and her sweet dog, Bella again. I’ve been fortunate my whole life to live only a ten minute drive away from her and to have had the opportunity to see her whenever I’d like. Grandma was very "with it" in every sense of the expression. She was always so well put together, there was never a hair out of place. Her accessories always complimented her outfit that she’d taken the time to lay out the night before. The way she dressed and acted was always with grace and class. She loved keeping up with the surf scene and most often then not, knew more about what was going on than I did. Grandma tried her best to teach me how to be a lady. She taught me how to pay attention to detail when cleaning our home, the art of organization and how to separate the laundry instead of just throwing it all in at once. She always encouraged me to brush my hair, wash my face and stand up straight. My favorite tradition was packing with her for every trip. She’d help me pick out all my outfits, fold and fit them neatly in my suitcase, and make sure I had everything I needed. It was always her goal to get one dress and pair of heels in my bag before I zipped it up. Most trips, I never touched it. Sometimes I’d even take it out before I left without her knowing. I’m gonna feel a little lost without her next week when I’m preparing for Australia but will be sure to pack a dress and pair of heels in her honor. Grandma was this and so much more. She has been a constant light and love in my life that will be greatly missed. Rest in peace. I love you forever.」2月21日 2時39分
