Debuting in 2011, the Zoom KD 4 ‘Weatherman’ pays tribute to Kevin Durant’s childhood fascination with meteorology. The upper sports a Lush Green color treatment as a nod to the green screen technology commonly used by TV meteorologists. The left insole reads ‘The Forecast Calls for a Thunder Storm’ and the right-side is decked out in weather symbols. Additional weather-inspired graphics wrap around the heel, while thermo-mapping scans of KD’s actual footprint recreate doppler patterns on the outsole. The KD 4 remains one of Durant’s most popular signature installments, featuring a host of Nike’s innovative tech including the Adaptive Fit system, Hyperfuse construction and Zoom Air.
