I never used to be the type to plan ahead. When I graduated from university I felt like I was in limbo, not really knowing what to do with myself. All my friends were going off to be doctors and lawyers and there I was with a degree in psychology and zero interest in becoming one. I wanted to model and travel the world, but I didn’t think that dream was attainable due to not seeing that representation growing up. The lack of diversity in media we consume on the regular often caters to only one type of, praising that as the ‘beauty standard’. ✨ I definitely had a few years of feeling lost and working random jobs like being the librarian at my old high school, to summer camp counselor to working retail at the local mall in Puerto Rico. But God had other plans for my life, way bigger than I could’ve possibly imagined. Fast forward to today: He has brought me countless blessings and opportunities to travel the world, working with some of the most amazing brands—both modeling and creating content. To think that I used to look up to models in magazines and now I’m in them just blows my mind. ✨ We may not see the whole picture but God does, so I want to encourage anyone of you that may feel like you’re stuck or going through a season of growth.
