Hokkaido, an island of miracles.
In the middle of it is Sapporo, a city of about 2 million.
It has it all: ocean, mountains, and citylife. But the place I especially recommend is Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort.
As you can see in this video, it takes little over an hour to get to the slopes from the city. The powder snow here is something special, even from a global perspective.
A ski resort in a city of 2 million. The double view of the city and the ocean is priceless.
While overlooking that view, taking a bite out of the peanut butter sandwich at the mountaintop cafe made by video director @neilhartmann makes you feel like you’re in America.
Once you've had your fill of powder, you can head down to the city of Sapporo, enjoy the seafood, and get back to the slopes for night skiing. That’s the typical way to enjoy Sapporo!

奇跡の島「北海道」
その中心に位置するのが人口約200万人の都市札幌です。街と海そして山が見事なまでに融合した札幌の中でも僕が特にお勧めしたいのが札幌国際スキー場。
この映像の通り街から1時間程でゲレンデ内にこれだけのパウダースノーを堪能できる事は世界的にみてもスペシャルです。
200万人規模の都市にあるスキー場。それも街と海を同時に見渡せる絶景はプライスレスです。
そんな海と街を観ながら、映像ディレクターの @neilhartmann が運営する山頂カフェで頂くアメリカンなピーナッツバターサンドはまるでアメリカにいるような気持ちになる。
パウダーをお腹いっぱいになるまで頂いたら札幌の街へ降りて、海の幸を堪能しナイタースキーに戻っていくのも札幌の代表的な遊び方ではないだろうか。
