第二次大戦中に米軍の攻撃を受け座礁し、父島・境浦海岸に沈んだ輸送艦の「濱江丸（ひんこうまる）」。ホテルで見せていただいた30年くらい前の雑誌に掲載された写真では（5枚目）船体がそのまま残っていたけれど、今ではもう船体の一部が残っているだけになっている。

父島周辺には濱江丸のように第二次大戦中に沈んだ船が海底にたくさん眠っているらしいのだけれど（ダイビングすると見れるらしい）、戦後76年。この濱江丸もそのうち海の中からしか見れなくなってしまうのかもしれない。

ちなみに今ではお魚さんたちの住処になっていて、シュノーケリングで近くまで行くと、とても美しい世界が広がっているそう🐠今度はシュノーケリングで近づいてみたい🤿

The Hinko-Maru was a cargo ship that was attacked by U.S. forces during World War II, ran aground, and sank on the Sakaiura coast of Chichijima. In the photo shown to us at the hotel, published in a magazine about 30 years ago (5th photo), the ship's body was still intact, but now we can see only part of the body.

There are many ships like the Hinko-Maru that sank during World War II sleeping under the sea around Chichijima (you can see them by diving). But it's been over 75 years since the end of World War II, and the Hamae Maru may soon be seen only under the sea.

By the way, it is now a home for fishes, and if you snorkel close to it, you can see a beautiful world. I want to snorkel next time!
