Nabila is responsible for sanitizing hospital rooms after a patient leaves and preventing the spread of disease – work that has become all the more critical during the pandemic to keep patients and hospital staff safe. Recently, Nabila also received the COVID-19 vaccine! 💉  “Everybody in the hospital works hard and has their own role. And everyone is important whether they are cleaning or they are the doctor or a nurse.”  Eager to provide the best life she can for her two sons, Nabila has also added school to her already full plate in order to realize her dream of becoming a nurse.  “I’m hoping for success for them and that I can get a good nursing job to support them. I want them to be educated to benefit themselves and so they can be useful to their community.”  At the IRC, we are proud to support refugees like Nabila through our work training programs–that allow resettled refugees to develop critical workforce skills–as they help build back America.
