With a staggering CV of honors, commissions and conductor gigs, Cuba-born classical composer Tania León is a living legend. She’s also a lifelong educator, with a post at the Conservatory of Music at @bklyncollege411 since 1985, multiple honorary doctorates and guest lectures across the US, Europe, Africa and China.

In 2013 we honored León with the ASCAP Victor Herbert Award – and earlier this month, we were overjoyed to welcome her to the @ascapfoundation Board of Directors!
