The Pretty Grit, this project we’ve been working on for over a year, it came out of a place of real pain. A deep hurt I hadn’t felt in life before. I started a band and this was the first song we wrote. The Pretty Grit is about flipping your circumstances. Taking something so gritty and shitty and turning it into something beautiful. And that’s really what art means to me, personally. That’s Pretty Grit.
