Each month, we hightlight artworks and design objects from the LOEWE Collection—a global anthology of art and craft.

Contemporary artist, Shihoko Fukumoto, first began working with textiles, dyeing techniques and indigo in the 1970s. The recipient of many awards, including the Kyoto Fine Arts Cultural Award from the MOA Museum of Art in Japan, the artist uses materials including linen, hemp, pineapple fibre and loose weave mosquito netting.

This piece is currently on display at CASA LOEWE Singapore.
