Because of the high cut of the top edge of the shoe, it's sometimes called the football boot. In yesteryear football shoes were equipped with a sewn-on leather strip for front toe protection. The Finalist of today has internal toe-protection caps, strengthening the heel and toe of the shoe. Completing the leather outersole with its rubber surface for slide protection is a nailed down leather insert. The top edge of the Finalist is cushioned and the heel counter of the shoe is sewn on the upper of calf's leather. The Finalist hast seven-hole lacing, using waxed shoestrings. The #ZEHA logo on the tongue of the shoe promises a calf's leather inner lining and a cushioned innensole sewn through the leather outersole for superlative comfort.
