This is a post for all those special ‘different’ goalkeepers out there 🙌 I get loads of messages from parents, young keepers , older keepers etc basically saying that they are thinking about giving up there role as a goalkeeper . Not for any other reason other than the fact that they don’t want to deal with responsibilities that the role brings . Well … as I say to all of them and will continue to say , no matter the level ,you only play in goal if you love it , if you have that wire in your head that says ‘ get in the way of the ball at all costs ‘. If you have that, then you are already special . ( mad, bonkers, lunatic are other words used fo describe it ) Embrace it, work on it and overall enjoy it . This particular message is for a young goalkeeper my dad has been made aware of and he asked me to reach out and I thought I would be good to share for all the others out there who might need some support and a reminder of why we play the beautiful game 😊❤️ 🧤
