I had full intentions of participating in another challenge with Lauren that year as I was thrilled with my results but little did I know the world would change due to COVID. The uncertainty and the fear was real along with the mounting pressure from being an essential worker and being on the frontline everyday. For almost two years I was living with stress and anxiety. As I’m sure many of us were. Looking back I believe I was in survival mode without even knowing it. I stopped prioritizing my well being and fitness which started to take a toll on my mental health and my body started to show signs of distress. With chronic back pain and stiffness in my neck which was immobilizing at times it was then that I had come to the realization I needed to make a change in my life. I had enough of feeling pain , feeling sluggish, my clothing not fitting and most of all I hated not feeling like myself anymore. That’s when I made the decision to do what I promised myself to do years back join another of Lauren’s challenges. I knew with Lauren’s help I could achieve the change I was so desperately needing. Let me tell you I was right!! In as little as 6 weeks the changes I see in my physique and within myself are astonishing and that to me is priceless. It wasn’t an easy journey for me this time around as at times I felt like giving up but I pushed through those feelings and boy Am I happy that I did. I’m so happy that I didn’t give up on myself.
