And after being alongside my dad for 4 years while he fought bile duct cancer - doing anything and everything he could to just get more time on this earth - I re-evaluated how I spend my time here too. 🌎 So, while practicing Big Law, I took action. I would wake up at 5am to study and work on my applications. Now, a year and a half later, I am at a school that is a dream I didn’t even know I had. ✨ Losing a parent was one the hardest things I’ve had to experience. But if living life with less fear has come out of it, then for that, I am grateful. ❤️ So I say this: don’t ever stop believing in yourself. When you feel like no one else is there for you, you show up for yourself. Be kind to yourself. Take care of yourself. And do what YOU know is best for you. Trust your gut. Don’t limit yourself. They’ll be haters and gaslighters and people who don’t want you to shine (don’t be surprised if those are some of the people closest to you). Don’t let the fear of failure stop you from growing, from trying, from achieving your dreams. 💕 I am 37 yrs old. Some told me I was “too old” when I was applying. I told myself, they’re not on the admissions committee, keep going, stay focused. When I was skating, I was “too young.” I told myself, work harder, keep going, stay focused. 🙌🏼 Show up for yourself. It’s hard, but it’s worth it. You’re worth it. And the better you know how to show up for you, the better you’ll be able to show up for others. 💪🏼 My first class is tomorrow. 🤓📚📝🤩 #GSBlife」9月16日 3時16分
