Kaikai Kiki Gallery @kaikaikikigallery is pleased to announce "NO MANNER", the first solo exhibition by Hisashi Eguchi @江口寿史
@江口寿史 with Kaikai Kiki, to open on January 17, 2023.

His representative works include "STOP!! HIBARIKUN!”, “SUSUME!! PIRATES”, “EIJI", "Chara Mono”, and more, Hisashi Eguchi led the field with his comedy manga after debuted as a manga artist in 1977.
Since the 1980s, he has also been active as an illustrator in a variety of fields. Having worked on many corporate tie-up projects and record jackets, he has a strong and lasting fan base for his works.

The exhibition will feature new paintings, which are produced at Kaikai Kiki Studio based on Eguchi's original drawings, completed after the process of repeated reviews and approvals by the artist. We sincerely look forward to welcoming you at the gallery.

個展「NO MANNER」を開催いたします。

『ストップ!! ひばりくん!』『すすめ!!パイレーツ』『エイジ』『キャラ者』など、1977年のデビュー以降、ギャグ系の漫画で業界を牽引してきた江口氏。80年代からはレコードジャケット、企業とのタイアップ企画なども多く手掛け、その作品群には根強いファンがついています。

本展では、江口氏の原画を元に、カイカイキキの工房で制作したペインティング作品群を展示。色合いや細部の構成まで、江口氏の監修のもとで完成した作品群です。
来月の展覧会のオープンをお楽しみにお待ちください。
