In 2022 alone, he starred in “Cha Cha Real Smooth” and “Hustle,” to most recently “The Inspection,” which closed out the 60th anniversary of New York Film Festival. As an actor, Castillo is drawn to a three ingredient formula when it comes to new projects: the script, the story, and the director. If he is able to connect with all three to bring a collaboration to life, he will dive in head first to commit to bringing authentic storytelling to a character.
