Harajuku Japanのインスタグラム(tokyofashion) - 1月11日 05時43分

Monday was Coming of Age Day (Seijin no Hi) in Japan, a holiday where the country celebrates and congratulates young people who've reached the age of legal adulthood (20). Part of the traditional celebration includes new adults wearing ceremonial furisode kimono and visiting a shrine. Meiji Jingu - located in Harajuku - is one of the major shrines in Tokyo, so many kimono-clad new adults were celebrating at the shrine on Monday. While out shooting on Coming of Age Day, we met a lot of wonderful new people, as well as seeing several of the Harajuku regulars who reached the age of adulthood over the last year.

We hope that you'll join us in congratulating all of the new adults, and wishing them all a great year, and a great life ahead of them!! Thank you to everyone we met and photographed.
