We DJ'd for YSL'S LIBRE launch last week, couldn't resist opening for J-pop icon UA on a night that was closed by Shinichi Osawa. Organizing, producing, and casting events myself, I appreciate the effort that goes into nights like this and it was nice to show up, play some tracks, have a few glasses of champagne, and see some beautiful people. When all the kids had gone home after taking their selfies, we went out to dinner, karaoke, and whatever else the city has to offer. Last week that included Johnny's birthday. The same week that Shibuya's Tokyu department store closed - no more insta stories from its dated glass elevator. Plum and apricot blossoms are the first sign that spring is coming, but nights are still cold, and Bunka Yokusen baths are closed for renovations; we're all hoping for a bigger sauna (there's a sauna boom in Tokyo). I've been going to Fujimiyu in the meantime, proper jiji vibes.
