I don’t know who needs to hear this, but here we go:

It may seem like I portray a false positivity out here. Which is why I’d like to say how impactful acknowledging and expressing all of my emotions has been.

I choose to express gratitude and joy and peace to the world. But on the flip side I also give room to express anger, sadness and fear in a healthy way.

My anxiety has improved 1000% once I learned how to do this. It used to be my go-to way of being - to suppress what’s inside of me in order to feel ok, to compete, to manage life and to keep my face and not bother others.

What a huge difference this simple knowledge in mental health has made for me. So when you see me smiling and awe-ing over nature, just know I also let myself cry and get angry when I need to in a safe space.
The more I express and let go, the more emotionally intelligent I end up showing up for others.
I found out that our emotions tend to have less to do with our circumstances and more with our triggers to them.

Life is so much simpler now. What a relief ☺️
