Here are my top 5 favorite mermaid rock pool spots in the Margaret river region🧜‍♀️

1. Aquarium - a natural lagoon in Yallingup along the Cape to Cape track. My favorite way to access this spot is from @smiths_beach_resort via a 20min breathtaking scenic hike. You can also get here from the road leading to Canal Rocks.

2. Injidup Natural Spa - it’s a quick minute walk from the car park to the spa across some rocks. It’s a 10 minute drive or 1.5 hour hike from Smiths beach.

3. Contos - this whole region has secret rock pool spots. You just need to go exploring when the seas are calm and you’ll find them.

4. Smiths beach - explore the rocks along the cape to cape track and discover some truly peaceful off the beaten path spots.

5. Surfers point - a great surf spot for experienced surfers. Take a dip in the many mermaid pools while you watch the incredible surf.

Tips - go early especially to the Aquarium or Injidup natural spa as they both get crowded. Bring your snorkel gear to the Aquarium. Explore the surrounding areas as there are other beautiful less crowded spots to enjoy too. Most of these spots are best viewed early in the day, during the summer months, and calm conditions.

Be careful of big waves and swell changes especially at the natural spa and contos. Massive waves can come out of nowhere and be quite dangerous.
