“For Ember and Wade, I helped test the characters in pre-production and create model sheets for them, which are a set of rules that the animators use to stay consistent when animating. I also helped research different inspirational animation styles to help achieve the Elemental ‘look.’ For Wade, I helped test his hair at the beginning of production.
With both characters, I learned new ways to think about creating animated performances while still trying to respect their elemental qualities.
