Lela the goat was rescued from a backyard butcher, where she was so sick that it took weeks for her to recover. Today, she and her mother can happily live out their lives at The Gentle Barn (@TheGentleBarn) — a #vegan animal sanctuary in Santa Clarita, California, alongside over 170 furry and feathered friends. According to PETA, over one billion animals die annually for the leather industry — including goats. Goatskin is used to create everything from shoes to gloves.
