It’s both where, and nowhere near where I want to be. I have chased stress and fear and lusted after regret and resentment and it has gotten me exactly where I am- somewhere? I guess? In the last couple of months I made the conscious effort to show up to myself for myself. I am no longer willing to flail into feelings of shame because of my wants and desires. I feel I’ve let down those who have tried to love me. Their love for me failing to find purchase on the grounds of my love for myself, which is rocky and loose and falling apart. But no more. I’m laying down thick soil. I am loving myself. This tour has been a reward of that work. I haven’t known how to accept the adoration you have beamed at me in the past - the heat of it has made me sweat - but now i feel its warmth and its comfort and I have been tasted the sweetness of it, and I am truly thankful for you.
