Soyano Wood Power Plant

The Soyano Wood Power Plant is the largest wood biomass power plant in Nagano Prefecture.

Utilizing wooden scraps and unused lumber from forest thinning, the plant turns the bounty of Nagano’s woodlands into fuel, creating a sustainable cycle for the development and use of our forests.

*Entry onto the property is not allowed. When taking photographs of the plant, take care not to cause trouble for the plant or local residents.
