A Kyoto textile specialist has taken a traditional Japanese craft beyond Buddhist temple walls to make prayer rugs. 📿 'Kinran' is found in temple interiors and the finest monks’ robes. It means ‘gold brocade’ and features gold and silver thread woven into a pattern. High-grade threads are made from gold and silver leaf adhered to washi paper.💛
