I mentioned in my stories that Cortina featured in the Bond film 'For Your Eyes Only'- one scene in particular was filmed on the 1956 Winter Olympic Ski Jump (in the last photo here). A number of other film sets have based themselves here including Cliffhanger and The Pink Panther, but Cortina was also here where Ernest Hemingway found his creative spark again after his manuscripts were lost in Paris. He visited here in 1923 and found the inspiration to write again after a fishing trip here.
