Just watching him work sparked the fire in me to learn photography. Then, I went to YouTube to learn the rest, of course, with the guidance of impressive photographers like Pau Shinski and Mwarv,” he recently shared with T+L. . When asked about his approach to shooting on trips, he says, “Honestly, I don't go looking for something in particular. I prefer to have the location reveal itself to me. Granted, I will look up locations to see the attractions, but the problem with having expectations as a travel photographer is that you will almost always be disappointed — weather changes, timings could differ, and there could be crowds. What’s important to me is that I tell the story of a place as authentically as possible.” . Magunga’s advice for aspiring photographers: “Start with whatever you have, even if it’s just your phone. Photographers photograph the same way writers write and actors act. You will not be a photographer by standing on the side and waiting for everything to fall in line. Take your first picture and post it — now you are a photographer. The skill will improve with time.” .
