After she spoke out rightfully against proposed anti-trans legislation, the GOP majority in Montana voted to bar the first openly transgender legislator, Rep. Zooey Zephyr from speaking for the rest of the 2023 session. She is banned from attending or speaking during floor sessions, and expulsion is still on the table.

Silencing those who are harmed by the bills you want to pass when they speak out against it. That is not democracy.
