The #nascar folks were kind enough to ask me to be her Grand Marshal, so I got to say the four most famous words in motorsports. This closes a longtime loop from my childhood. Back in the 70’s, when the #dovermotorspeedway was still called The Dover Downs, my Dad drove me, my brother, my sister and my Mom the short ride from Jersey to #Delaware to see the #monstermile. But since there was no internet back then to verify hours of operation, the day Dad picked turned out to be one where the track was actually closed, with the only car in sight being our old Plymouth! So I was thrilled - and I know Dad would’ve been proud - when I got the invite to the Dover Motor Speedway almost 45 years. And this time, I knew for a fact the track was gonna be open! But then, alas - the biblical rain canceled the race. Mercifully, the @foxsports folks pre-taped me and ran my rally cry today, The rain did afford me one cool benefit though: we got to drive around on the track! #KevinSmith」5月2日 3時51分
