In celebration of the exhibition ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’, British actress @ヴァネッサ・カービー attended the Met Gala in New York wearing one of Karl Lagerfeld’s most iconic Chloé designs: the Autumn-Winter 1983-84 ‘Brise’ dress.

“It’s a fast-flowing collection,” Lagerfeld told Vogue Paris at the time. “The shower is meant to send chills up the spine, while turning the back on fear. I’ve had enough of regular embellishments. In our daily lives, what is truly worth diamonds? Running water.” The ‘Brise’ dress is one of 28 Chloé designs on display at the landmark #ALineOfBeauty retrospective, representing Lagerfeld’s seminal chapter at the Maison. ​
