Musically, the song continued the ‘plastic soul’ sound of 1974’s YOUNG AMERICANS and was a top ten hit on both sides of the Atlantic. The song has been covered by artists such as James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem. It also appeared in the memorable dance scene in the movie A Knight’s Tale and on the Vol #2 soundtrack for Danny Boyle’s Trainspotting. “GOLDEN YEARS (TOKiMONSTA REMIX)” was created as part of a trio of new Bowie remixes for a Peloton celebration of Bowie’s legacy and enduring influence around his 75th birthday 2022.
