With Agatha being in heat (again 🙄😫) we’ve been getting a lot of questions about dog heat cycles. Heats can be confusing and intimidating for those who haven’t gone through them before – periods are bad enough for us women, and dealing with canine ones can be a huge pain in the butt.

🛑 A gentle reminder that it is extremely important to keep a close eye on your girl in season, especially through the 2nd and 3rd weeks where she might accidentally be bred with a local wandering romancer 🤨🌹🍆. Accidental pregnancies are no joke, and unless you purchased your female dog from an ethical breeder with full breeding rights, you should ABSOLUTELY NOT be breeding your pet.

While we show clips of Scaggy briefly interacting during this heat cycle, rest assured that they were both girdled up with their “chastity belts” and with constant eagle-eye supervision. It can only take a second for a boy to get access, and due to dog anatomy (that we can explain another time), it can in fact be even MORE dangerous to separate them during the “act.” 🫠
