Loan and her siblings cried for the first few months after their parents moved them from a tight-knit Vietnamese community in Massachusetts to rural Georgia, where her dad runs a chicken farm. Both of her parents fled the Vietnam War. Their responses to our question are below and also seen in their handwritten notes in the following images.  Dung Tran: “I have this feeling that no place belongs to me nor to anyone else, whether it be Vietnam or the United States.
