Peter McKernan is a skilled sign painter who has been with us since the very beginning.

He started painting signs in 1979 and has since specialized in gold leaf, learning from many talented craftsmen throughout the country.

His studio was located near our original Division Cafe, and he has since painted the signs in all of our Portland cafes, as well as two of our NYC cafes, some retail signage, and van lettering.

Fun fact: his favorite coffee order is a latte! ☕️❤️
