I was never really that interested in the Royal Family, maybe because I didn’t grow up in a monarchy and it never made much sense to me that one person or family has such a huge amount of power simply by having been born in the right circumstances.. but it’s been a fascinating watch, especially as I never realised just how difficult Diana’s life actually was. She really was in love with her husband, and just kept on going in spite of how she was treated by everyone. I can only guess as to how humiliating and hurtful the situation was for her .. so when, in last night’s episode, she visits the Serpentine Gallery’s summer ball in THAT dress it felt literally cathartic 🤗 .. I love the idea of the “Revenge Dress”because it’s exactly why I’ve always been obsessed with clothes- she didn’t have to utter a single word because that dress said it ALL. ..
