Stretching 1,475 feet (450 m) and standing 96 feet (29 m) tall, it spans the River Ouse along the London-Brighton Railway Line. Designed by John Urpeth Rastrick and David Mocatta, it features 37 semi-circular arches with elegant balustrades. The viaduct’s ornamental open towers and clever use of bricks add to its grandeur. With a rich history of construction, including the transport of 11 million bricks from Holland, this viaduct stands as an elegant symbol of human engineering.
