Lordy Lordy, can someone tell me who she is eyeing on the playground!!!?? After spitting my water out, I realized how sweet this question actually is. My little girl has a big and curious heart so she’s coming to mama for some clarity.. 🥹♥️ So here’s what I told here 👉🏽 anyone can have a husband but having her daddy as my husband felt like a special gift from God. I told her having a husband was like having a best friend for life and I said for a long time I didn’t know if daddy was going to be my husband. I just knew I really cared about him and I would be so sad if it didn’t work out. And best of all I said daddy has given me you + Amari + baby brother! She smiled at that part. I then went off on a tangent (ofcourse) and told her that one day she will find someone who she loves very much, but more than just saying “I love you “ or loving someone you have to show them everyday. Just like you take care of all your nicest toys and want to protect them from Amari (lol), you have to take care of your marriage. Then she said, “oh do you have to protect daddy from Amari because she always steals my nicest toys..” I was like okay... Ummm. Let’s see here….. then I said well no. I meant you’ll just want to pour into your marriage everyday like you’re pouring sweet apple juice into a cup to keep it full! Then she said, “ohhhhhhhh. But if you’re pouring apple juice in a cup everyday that’s a lot of days and alotta juice. Is there even enough juice and room in the cup. How big is this cup mommy???!!” And that’s when I saw my wholesome 5 year old being her teeny self. After that I said to myself, “thank God I have some more years to practice this talk.” Or maybe she’ll just continue to watch us & see the answer naturally unravel🫶🏽 Kids are a hoot. Marriage is great.
