This clip resonated with me for several reasons-

- Before social media you couldn't just easily ask a well known artist any question you wanted. You would have to get up, get dressed, show up in the flesh and look them in the eye. Behind a keyboard and a screen people are way more disrespectful than they would be in person. Notice how nervous this dude is to ask Miles this question. That's a sign of respect for what Miles has given yo the culture. Imagine how much they would be trolling Miles if Social Media existed back then.

- many people assumed Miles had a disdain for the live audience but his answer here is clear and makes a lot of sense. People made assumptions about why he turned his back instead of just asking him and trusting that a master of his craft probably had a good reason. I relate to that lack of trust the audience sometimes had in Miles Davis. I sometimes feel that lack of trust.
