@hypebeastkicks: After returning this year in throwback “Sport Red” tones, the @NIKE Air Max 1 ‘86 has surfaced in several other colorways before now arriving once again in “Blue Safari.”
The ‘86 iteration features a special “Big Bubble” which existed in the original production run before the AM1 made its official debut in 1987. For this pair, “Diffused Blue” hues land on the suede and mesh uppers while “Safari” prints adorn the mudguards — inspired by an ostrich skin couch that Tinker Hatfield came across at a furniture store. Additional details include a handwritten “AIR” bubble text above the transparent Air unit and lightly treaded outsoles.
Expect these to release on June 16 via Nike and select retailers for $170 USD.
