“豊穣祈願狐面”

狐は商売繁盛と豊作の神様でお稲荷さんの通称で呼ばれる「宇迦之御魂大神」の使いとして全国の神社に置かれています。
また能楽や神楽でも登場するなど神様と関係の深い動物です。
狐のお面に稲穂と「豊穣」の文字を書いており、背景と合わせて五穀豊穣への祈りと感謝を表した作品です。
赤色は太陽を、額のマークは「恵」の文字で夕日を表しています。
夕日に照らされて黄金に光る稲穂に、太陽への感謝の思いも込めています。

Foxes are placed at shrines throughout Japan as messengers of "Uganomikoto no Mikami," commonly known as Inari-san, the god of business prosperity and bountiful harvests.
The fox also appears in Japanese Noh plays and Kagura (Shinto music and dance), and is closely associated with the gods.
The fox's mask is decorated with ears of rice and the kanji for “豊穣（abundant harvest）,” and together with the background, the work expresses prayer and gratitude for a bountiful harvest.
The red color represents the sun, and the character for “恵（blessing）” on the forehead represents the setting sun.
The golden ears of rice glowing in the setting sun also expresses our gratitude to the sun.
