【ヴァウル在日米陸軍司令官離任表敬】
６月１３日（月）、ヴァウル在日米陸軍司令官が離任に伴う表敬のため来省しました。森下陸上幕僚長は、陸上自衛隊と米陸軍の連携強化への貢献について、同司令官に感謝の念をお伝えしました。また、同司令官のこれまでの功績に対し、小野田大臣政務官から旭日重光章の叙勲伝達が行われました。

On June 13 of 2023, Major General Vowell, outgoing Commanding General of the U.S. Army Japan visited Camp Ichigaya for a courtesy call before his change of command. GEN Morishita, Chief of Staff of JGSDF, expressed his appreciation of the significant cooperation during his command and they shared understanding on further enhancement of collaboration between JGSDF and US Army. For his commitment during his command, he was presented The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star.
