I never had to identify myself as anything when I grew up, I was just a kid. I was doing what I wanted, and my parents have always been very open-minded when it comes to gender expressions, which was amazing. And then being in a new city on my own, meeting new people, always having to say my name – it didn’t feel right anymore at some point. In the inner parts of myself, the inner parts of my soul, I knew I wanted to become an actress, and not an actor. So, I was like, I’m just going to try and come out of the closet and make it public. I was so happy, and so free. I enjoyed myself, I started to like my body and feel at home in it.
